Fire Stopping
Fire stopping is the process of sealing around pipes, cables, conduits, ducts and structural penetrations that pass through fire-resistant walls, floors and ceilings. Without correct sealing, these openings become pathways for fire and smoke to bypass the barriers designed to contain them.
- Intumescent collars, pipe wraps, fire-rated sealants, pillows and boards — selected to suit the penetration type and substrate
- All installations completed by trained operatives following manufacturer specifications and relevant British Standards

Compartmentation
Fire compartmentation divides a building into fire-resistant zones, limiting the spread of fire and smoke and preserving escape routes. Breaches — from alterations, service installations or wear — compromise the entire fire strategy.

Fire Doors
A correctly specified, installed and maintained fire door holds back fire and smoke for its rated period — allowing safe evacuation and limiting spread. A poorly fitted or maintained door may fail within minutes. We handle supply, installation, and ongoing maintenance.
- Supply and installation to FD30 and FD60 ratings for residential and commercial properties
- Correct hardware throughout: intumescent strips, smoke seals, door closers, hinges and signage
- Fire door inspections and maintenance with written condition reports for landlords and managing agents
- Compliance with BS 8214 and Fire Door Alliance guidance
Intumescent Coatings
Applied to structural steel, timber and other elements, intumescent coatings expand when exposed to heat, forming an insulating char layer that protects the underlying structure and maintains load-bearing capacity during a fire.
- Applied to structural steelwork to achieve R30, R60 or R90 fire resistance periods
- Suitable for new build steel frames, refurbished structures and exposed architectural steelwork
- Water-based and solvent-based systems available to suit exposure and aesthetic requirements
- Full documentation including product details, batch numbers and coverage rates
Inspections & Certification
For landlords, managing agents and Responsible Persons under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, a documented inspection is an essential part of demonstrating due diligence. We survey, report, and can carry out any remedial works directly.
